Reinforcing Our Commitment
TNVR
Why TNVR? To stop the needless suffering of unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. It is a difficult thing to watch a young female cat under a year old become pregnant and later care for a litter of kittens, sacrificing meals for herself to keep watch over her babies. And the cycle continues if not quickly addressed. It’s been said that if you want to save 100 cats, get one spayed. So, that’s what we’re doing.

Trapping
Since 2018, we have been trapping cats at the Village. As of the end of 2022, we had humanely trapped, spayed-neutered, vaccinated and returned (TNVR) to the Village and the surrounding area over 100. We know that number may seem small to those who TNVR that many cats in half a year, but we're still proud of this accomplishment.
Care Provided
Once we trap cats, we bring them back to our "operations center" (code for private home) where they are transferred for their comfort to a larger kennel with food, water, litterbox and shelter. That becomes their home until they are taken for spaying-neutering and vaccines the next morning. Here you see Merlin the evening before his surgery.

Happy, Healthy Cats
Twenty-four hours after surgery, we return the cats to their feral cat homes in the Village.
