Worry is Part of the Work

This evening, the caregivers of CATpassionate Village are worried. This isn't a new emotion for us. It comes with the territory.

We've been missing Mama-Sue at one of our smaller colonies for well over a month now. Two of her children--Marco and Goldie--have been spotty in their breakfast and dinner attendance. We distributed flyers in the surrounding community asking for leads of their whereabouts and staged a field camera overnight to see if there was something going on that scared them away. We still have no answers.

Today, we are particularly worried about Copper. He is ALWAYS in the vicinity of his colony and never misses a meal. He's handicapped due to a terrible trauma of some sort he suffered earlier this year, causing us deep concern for his well-being.

We know we do the best we can to care for all of the Village resident, but we worry when their behavior is out of character, fearing the worst.

This work is not easy, but we are grateful that we are able to do it and for so many of you that make it possible through donations, following this blog and our Facebook page as well as sharing our stories.
