Cat Rescues

Have you found a cat or a kitten in need of a home? Do you need to rehome a cat?

Your best bet, especially during kitten season (March - October/November) is to try to find a home on your own, leveraging your network resources, like social media, email and flyers.

When doing so, be sure to provide as much information as possible about the kitten or cat--gender, health status, spay/neuter status, personality, does it get along with other cats and/or dogs, etc.

For example, would the cat be a better fit for a single-only cat household. Or, if it's a black cat, use clever references such as "parlor panther" or "pygmy panther" and showcase interesting/rare/unusual aspects of the cat or kitten.

If you've exhausted your network to no avail, here are some rescue organizations that might help. Understand that during kitten season they are typically overwhelmed with kittens. If you are willing to foster-to-adoption, you will have a much better chance of them agreeing to enter the kitten or cat into their adoption program.

Let's Work Together

If all efforts to place mama cat and/or kitten(s) fail with a rescue, you may want to consider a community cat situation for the family, whereby you and maybe others continue to provide daily food, water and shelter. We can help with trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) as well as food. You can contact us at catpassionate@gmail.com
